Together, we work to enhance our students' learning. At the heart of their French Catholic culture and identity, we offer them an education that is conducive to their development.
In a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment, and with the collaboration and dedication of staff, parents and community partners, our students experience authentic life through a multitude of academic, cultural and spiritual activities.
Every student contributes to a positive, inclusive, and safe environment. The Voyageurs Code of Conduct is based on three values that are integral to the school’s culture.
Golden rule: I welcome others and consider them my equals.
- I encourage others.
- I accept that others make mistakes.
- I understand that other people have different needs from me.
- I'm polite (I say hello, please, thank you, and I apologize).
- I invite others, creating bonds of friendship.
Golden rule: I'm proud of who I am.
- I choose to speak in French.
- I get involved in school activities (clubs, sports, theme days, etc.).
- I contribute to my own success and the success of others.
Golden rule: I make choices that help me learn.
- I persist despite the difficulties.
- I look for solutions before asking for help.
- I make an effort to hand in work I'm proud of.
- I trust myself by taking risks.
Student Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn.
- Bringing the school's values to life.
- Respect yourself, others, and those in positions of authority.
- Do not bring any items that could pose a safety risk.
- Use appropriate language.
- Resolve conflicts peacefully.
- Follow the rules and take responsibility for your actions.
Prevention and Positive Reinforcement
- Teaching and reinforcing expected positive behaviors.
- School-wide recognition system based on the values being taught.
- Monthly gatherings to celebrate achievements.
- Teaching social-emotional skills, healthy relationships, and conflict resolution.
Progressive Discipline and Remediation
In the event of a violation, the school takes into account the severity, frequency, and relevant factors. Responses may include:
- a break to find some peace and quiet and reflect;
- an internal intervention or disciplinary action;
- a meeting between the student, the family, and the school administration;
- a restorative justice approach;
- a reference to student services and the development of a plan;
- a suspension when the situation calls for it.

The bullying prevention and intervention plan aims to ensure a positive school climate. It is reviewed annually.
